Instead of traditional stitching, the X7C+ uses ultrasonic welding to seamlessly bond layers and components, creating a clean finish with enhanced durability and long-lasting performance.
Inside, 3D-printed elastomeric lattice pads feature a precisely tuned multi-zonal design that helps absorb and disperse impact forces while maintaining flexibility and comfort.
The pro-grade headband material includes new “L” extension holes for improved adjustability and a precise fit, while an updated geometric grip pattern enhances stability to keep the headband securely in place during play.
Independently tested and awarded a 5-Star rating by the Virginia Tech Helmet Lab, recognizing top-tier performance in impact reduction.

Why We Made The X7c+
SYZMIK partnered with Carbon to redefine protective headgear for flag football and 7v7 athletes. Traditional headbands rely on stitched fabric and foam—materials that limit performance, breathability, and long-term durability. The X7C+ was developed to move beyond these constraints with a next-generation design engineered to deliver greater impact protection, improved airflow, and superior comfort without added bulk.
Industry-First 3D Printed Padding
The X7C+ introduces an industry-first application of 3D-printed lattice padding in a flag football protective headband. Using Carbon’s Digital Light Synthesis, SYZMIK integrated a 3D-printed structural lattice made from EPU 45, a strain-rate sensitive elastomer specifically engineered for energy absorption.
This additive manufacturing approach allows the padding to be built as a precisely tuned multi-zonal lattice, something impossible with traditional foam. The lattice flexes naturally for comfort and breathability but stiffens under impact to help absorb and disperse energy more effectively, delivering a new level of performance for soft-shell headgear.

To further enhance durability, the X7C+ replaces traditional stitching with ultrasonic welding, seamlessly bonding layers and components into a unified structure. This creates a cleaner finish while reducing potential failure points found in stitched construction.
